Support to Implementation of GRAPs – Institutional Capacity Development of GRAP Stakeholders – Technical Assistance 4602-PAK

The key objectives of the TA were: Institutionalization of gender mainstreaming capability of public sector Training Institutions and enabling them to effectively build capacities of GRAP stakeholders; Intellectual capacity development (knowledge and skills) of Government/State Training Faculties for engendered teaching curriculums; Strengthening and revitalization of NWFP SW&WDD for effective implementation of GRAP by strengthening 130 Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) of SW&WDD; Building the capacities of SW&WDD officers to effectively implement the GRAP of Balochistan. The TA had three components: Component A: Identification, consultation and selection of at least 5 potential public sector training institutes/academies per province for inclusion in the project for gender mainstreaming, Curriculum redesign/redevelopment of participating institutes; Post training roll out Component B: Training Need Assessment of Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) of the NWFP. Revision of course contents of lTCs and development of improved training modules, hold exhibition for displaying and promoting ITC products. Component C: Build SWBWDD of Balochistan capacities in (i) Gender & Development in Balochistan; (ii) Effective Communication & Presentation Skills; (iii) Project Planning 8 Management and (iv) Office Management & Performance Management.

Services Provided

Semiotics was responsible for recruitment, induction and deployment of consulting team, administration, coordination of project activities, organizing, managing and conducting training and other workshops, development of training modules and training material, printing and dissemination of training material, arranging and organizing exhibitions.
