Mid-Term Evaluation of EDACE programme

Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI) is implementing the Enhanced Democratic Accountability and Civic Engagement (EDACE) programme which aims to improve rights awareness, citizen engagement, access to justice, and provision of security services to ensure that Pakistani citizen rights and democratic processes are strengthened at provincial and local levels. Under Phase I, eleven short-term, high impact grants were made across districts in Punjab and Sindh focused addressing the supply and demand side of rule of law and conflict resolution/ prevention.

Services Provided

Semiotics undertook an evaluation of Phase I and has a comprehensive understanding of the programme design objectives and implementation. Phase II was focused upon building on the strengths of these grants in order to deepen their impact and adopt a focused programming approach. The exercise involved an extensive household survey (6,400 respondents) across districts of Punjab and Sindh.
