Diagnostic Study of Resource Utilization at Elementary Level in Schools in Selected areas

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

PLAN is an international humanitarian, child focus development organization without religious, political or governmental affiliation. Child sponsorship is the basic foundation of the organization. It is operating in a total of forty-two participating developing countries known as the program countries.

The objective of the diagnostic study was to :carryout a detailed assessment of physical facilities available at elementary level in the selected areas of District Mansehra and Chakwal;  know the utilization level of the available physical resources;  assess the teacher performance in the class room; identify gaps in the actual and expected role of the teachers;  determine factors influencing access and enrollment of children with emphasis on girl child

 

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED

Semiotics recruited, assembled and mobilized the research team. Developed the strategy for conducting the study Carried out  survey,  interviews, focus group discussions, and observations in the selected districts.  Analyzed the primary and secondary data; assessed the current situation in District Mansehra and Chakwal of education facilities; identified  the gaps between the demand for education and the actual facilities available for the population in selected areas; reviewed the position of distribution, the quality and utilization level of the physical facilities and resources and identified the  imbalances in the present demand and the available resources. Prepared draft and final report.
