DFID Technical Resource Facility for MNH

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

DFID through a £90m Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) Programme is supporting the Government of Pakistan’s Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Programme, the purpose of which is to improve access to services and promote healthy behavior, especially for the poor and socially excluded. DFID’s support is underpinned by DFID Pakistan’s ten-year development partnership arrangement with the Government of Pakistan, which includes health priorities and maternal and newborn health in particular, and Country Assistance Plan..

 

SEMIOTICS’ ASSIGNMENT

·  Semiotics provided technical expertise in conducting a comprehensive situational analysis to review the medical equipment and hospital supplies available    in the MNCH hospitals. Prepared a comprehensive catalogue of equipment and hospital supplies.

. Semiotics provided support to the MNCH programme for timely completion of procurement activities and to build capacity of the staff designated for      procurement, at federal and provincial/regional levels.
