MRDP was a community-based rural development project with the major aim of “poverty eradication on sustainable basis through community participation”. This included enhancing household incomes and living standards particularly of small land holders, tenants, landless people, women and poor communities in Malakand. Social organization and capacity building was the major focus of MRDP.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED
Semiotics provided the services of Enterprise Development/ Micro Expert and Financial/ Micro-credit Specialist to: (a) formulate project specific micro-finance strategies, (b) evaluate and prioritize lending credit cost, formulate credit applications forms, establish collateral base, formulate sector/ category wise impact of allocation modules, determine unit cost of loans and assist PMU, PCIs and other project partners in carryout financial analysis of small enterprises and other community managed projects.
