MRDP was a community-based rural development project with the major aim of “poverty eradication on sustainable basis through community participation”. This included enhancing household incomes and living standards particularly of small land holders, tenants, landless people, women and poor communities in Malakand. Social organization and capacity building was the major focus of MRDP.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED
Semiotics provided services to assist the PMUin setting up a BMEsystem; within the overall project framework and establishing database on physical and financial progress, organized and conducted baseline survey on the basis of effect and impact indicators identified; carried out impact assessment on an annual basis, and provided recommendations to the PMU on these bases for course correction in the project implementation process, approach and priorities; assessed project impact on special issues; conducted assessments of the performance, organize training of implementation partners (PMU and selected field staff) on benefit monitoring and evaluation.
